Dr Kuria B. Thiong’o from Kenya and his col­league from Ruhr Uni­ver­si­ty Bochum con­duct­ed work­shops on remote sens­ing as part of an edu­ca­tion­al project. As some schools do not have elec­tric­i­ty, ILV cal­en­dars were also used as teach­ing aids.

CEO Mar­tin Wag­n­er par­tic­i­pat­ed as a mem­ber of the Ger­man busi­ness del­e­ga­tion in Fed­er­al Pres­i­dent Frank-Wal­ter Stein­meier’s trip to Africa from 1 to 7 Novem­ber 2025, vis­it­ing Egypt, Ghana and Ango­la.

The Min­ing Ind­a­ba 2025 min­ing trade fair in Cape Town was a com­plete suc­cess for ILV-Fern­erkun­dung GmbH and was char­ac­terised by many pro­duc­tive dis­cus­sions. They took place not only with our Angolan part­ners and Ger­man col­leagues, but also with inter­est­ed par­ties from all over the world. The con­fer­ence of the SAGA (South­ern African Geo­phys­i­cal Asso­ci­a­tion) in Wind­hoek was par­tic­u­lar­ly char­ac­ter­ized by its spe­cial­ist char­ac­ter. Togeth­er with Dr. Edgar Stet­tler from South Africa, ILV was able to make con­tacts with a large num­ber of glob­al and Ger­man experts in Namib­ia and dis­cuss pos­si­ble future projects.

The par­tic­i­pa­tion at the ILA 2022 in Berlin was very suc­cess­ful for ILV-Fern­erkun­dung GmbH. In addi­tion to the com­pa­ny pre­sen­ta­tion at the Berlin-Bran­den­burg joint stand, we were able to present the cur­rent Berlin aer­i­al imagery project in a spe­cial­ist lec­ture and hold many inter­est­ing dis­cus­sions.
