The ori\u00adgins of ILV-Fern\u00aderkun\u00addung GmbH go back to the time peri\u00adod before Ger\u00adman reuni\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion. Between 1988 and 1990 founder and today\u2019s CEO of ILV, Dipl.-Ing. Mar\u00adtin Wag\u00adn\u00ader, was head of the sci\u00adence and tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy depart\u00adment at the for\u00admer lig\u00adnite plant Bor\u00adna (BKW Bor\u00adna). The plant belonged to the lig\u00adnite com\u00adbine Bit\u00adter\u00adfeld and at that time com\u00adprised 21 open-cast mines, 24 refin\u00ading plants and employed more than 57,000 peo\u00adple. In 1990, dur\u00ading the polit\u00adi\u00adcal changes, the com\u00adbine was trans\u00adformed into Vere\u00adinigte Mit\u00adteldeutsche Braunkohlen\u00adwerke AG. The result\u00ading MIBRAG GmbH assumed the ongo\u00ading oper\u00ada\u00adtion of the active part of the lig\u00adnite min\u00ading indus\u00adtry in Cen\u00adtral Ger\u00admany.<\/p>

For the coal indus\u00adtry in the Ger\u00adman Demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic Repub\u00adlic (GDR) the Youth Research Col\u00adlec\u00adtive of the Mine Sur\u00advey\u00ador, head\u00aded by Mar\u00adtin Wag\u00adn\u00ader at that time, was the first to set up a dig\u00adi\u00adtal pho\u00adtogram\u00admet\u00adric eval\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion cen\u00adtre. From this point, the cen\u00adtre took over the process of cen\u00adtral aer\u00adi\u00adal pho\u00adto eval\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion for the open-cast mines at BKW Bor\u00adna.<\/p>

This was fol\u00adlowed by a con\u00adtract to devel\u00adop a CAD\/CAM sys\u00adtem for the open\u00adcast mines. With a bud\u00adget of at least 4.4 mil\u00adlion marks the inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary Youth Research Col\u00adlec\u00adtive began its work. Solu\u00adtions for data stor\u00adage and pro\u00advi\u00adsion via cloud solu\u00adtions and for data trans\u00admis\u00adsion via radio and fibre optic net\u00adworks were test\u00aded and suc\u00adcess\u00adful\u00adly imple\u00adment\u00aded at that time already. For this pur\u00adpose, main\u00adly tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy from the com\u00adbines Carl Zeiss Jena and Robot\u00adron was used, but also tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies that were devel\u00adoped in coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion with research insti\u00adtu\u00adtions and uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties.<\/p>

In 1990, the three engi\u00adneers Mar\u00adtin Wag\u00adn\u00ader, Andreas Forg\u00adber (for\u00admer head of the depart\u00adment of com\u00adput\u00ader tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy at BKK Bit\u00adter\u00adfeld) and Beat\u00adrix Wag\u00adn\u00ader (for\u00admer head of voca\u00adtion\u00adal train\u00ading for min\u00ading sur\u00advey\u00adors of the GDR\u2019s lig\u00adnite indus\u00adtry) found\u00aded the engi\u00adneer\u00ading firm Inge\u00adnieur\u00adb\u00fcro f\u00fcr Luft\u00adbil\u00addauswer\u00adtung und Ver\u00admes\u00adsung (short: ILV).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

With the foun\u00adda\u00adtion of ILV-Fern\u00aderkun\u00addung GmbH in 2001, some high\u00adly qual\u00adi\u00adfied mem\u00adbers of this research group, who had worked in the group \u201cremote sens\u00ading\u201d under the direc\u00adtion of Prof. Marek until 1990, were recruit\u00aded into the ILV team. ILV-Fern\u00aderkun\u00addung GmbH was found\u00aded with the aim to extend the com\u00adpa\u00adny pro\u00adfile of the engi\u00adneer\u00ading firm Inge\u00adnieur\u00adb\u00fcro f\u00fcr Luft\u00adbil\u00addauswer\u00adtung und Ver\u00admes\u00adsung (ILV) by the fields of research and devel\u00adop\u00adment as well as fur\u00adther edu\u00adca\u00adtion espe\u00adcial\u00adly in the field of satel\u00adlite remote sens\u00ading. Con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous tech\u00adni\u00adcal devel\u00adop\u00adment and invest\u00adments in new inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies con\u00adsol\u00adi\u00addat\u00aded the lead\u00ading posi\u00adtion of ILV-Fern\u00aderkun\u00addung GmbH in the field of dig\u00adi\u00adtal aer\u00adi\u00adal pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adphy and fur\u00adther pro\u00adcess\u00ading to dig\u00adi\u00adtal 3D mod\u00adels. A mile\u00adstone was the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from ana\u00adlogue to dig\u00adi\u00adtal aer\u00adi\u00adal pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adphy at the begin\u00adning of the 2000s.<\/p>

Since the turn of the mil\u00adlen\u00adni\u00adum ILV has also been active on the African con\u00adti\u00adnent. The first assign\u00adment came from Hous\u00adton, Texas and includ\u00aded the map\u00adping of the Cross-Riv\u00ader State in Nige\u00adria by aer\u00adi\u00adal sur\u00advey, at that time still with black and white film mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal. As of 2003 ILV was the first com\u00adpa\u00adny to use the new dig\u00adi\u00adtal aer\u00adi\u00adal cam\u00adera sys\u00adtem DMC of Zeiss\/Intergraph com\u00admer\u00adcial\u00adly through\u00adout Europe. The DMC is based on mul\u00adti\u00adple, exact\u00adly cal\u00adi\u00adbrat\u00aded CCD-arrays and allows a remark\u00adably high ground res\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion. The required posi\u00adtion\u00adal accu\u00adra\u00adcy for the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion and pro\u00adcess\u00ading of stereo aer\u00adi\u00adal images can thus be main\u00adtained very accu\u00adrate\u00adly. This sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic and tech\u00adni\u00adcal progress has led to a num\u00adber of impor\u00adtant orders from abroad, e.g. from France, Bel\u00adgium, Den\u00admark, Slove\u00adnia, Aus\u00adtria, Switzer\u00adland, Ser\u00adbia, Bosnia-Herze\u00adgov\u00adina, the Unit\u00aded Arab Emi\u00adrates, Greece, Kuwait, Sier\u00adra Leona, Alge\u00adria, Libya, Ethiopia, Nige\u00adria and Ghana. With more than 10.000 pho\u00adto flights with the DMC in Ger\u00admany and inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal ILV has acquired a high know-how in aer\u00adi\u00adal sur\u00advey\u00ading. It is one of the com\u00adpa\u00adnies with the most com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive oper\u00ada\u00adtional expe\u00adri\u00adence in the Mid\u00addle East and Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In Ger\u00admany ILV is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading post-min\u00ading land\u00adscapes in Lusa\u00adtia and Cen\u00adtral Ger\u00admany and per\u00adforms week\u00adly pho\u00adto flights. Since 2008 ILV has been using a sec\u00adond advanced DMC to expand its nation\u00adal and inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal image flight activ\u00adi\u00adties.<\/p>

Since 2005 ILV also uses the laser scan\u00adning method for the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion of exact ele\u00adva\u00adtion mod\u00adels. In addi\u00adtion, ILV has invest\u00aded in a dual ther\u00admal cam\u00adera sys\u00adtem in 2012, which can be flown in com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion with oth\u00ader sen\u00adsors, e.g. laser scan\u00adners. Since 2015, the equip\u00adment also includes an oblique cam\u00adera sys\u00adtem which can simul\u00adta\u00adne\u00adous\u00adly gen\u00ader\u00adate five image record\u00adings from five view angles and thus enables the gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of 3D objects.<\/p>

In 2015, the new gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of the DMC III cam\u00adera sys\u00adtem was devel\u00adoped and from 2016 onwards it was used in ILV\u2019s oper\u00ada\u00adtional busi\u00adness. The DMC III has a CMOS sen\u00adsor with 391 megapix\u00adels and mechan\u00adi\u00adcal for\u00adward com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adtion to bal\u00adance \u201cimage migra\u00adtion\u201d. It gen\u00ader\u00adates aer\u00adi\u00adal images with a res\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion of up to 3 cm. With this sys\u00adtem ILV oper\u00adates very suc\u00adcess\u00adful\u00adly nowa\u00addays, espe\u00adcial\u00adly con\u00adcern\u00ading larg\u00ader fly\u00ading areas.<\/p>

The fields of remote sens\u00ading, sur\u00advey\u00ading and 3D-GIS still form the core areas of ILV\u2019s work today. But also, in the field of hydro\u00adgraph\u00adic sur\u00advey\u00ading ILV has been work\u00ading for sev\u00ader\u00adal years with own ships, mod\u00adern equip\u00adment and experts. From 2004 to 2006 first bathy\u00admet\u00adric sur\u00adveys (off\u00adshore) were already real\u00adized in Nige\u00adria for the Niger\u00adian ExxonMobil\/NNPC. ILV is also reg\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly active on Aus\u00adtri\u00adan and Ger\u00adman inland water\u00adways. Here mod\u00adern multi\u00adbeam sonar tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy is used, which is oper\u00adat\u00aded from own boats. Since 2019 ILV can per\u00adform multi\u00adbeam mea\u00adsure\u00adments even unmanned. The method is used in areas which are not allowed to be entered, such as blocked open-cast min\u00ading waste holes. For this pur\u00adpose the boat is put by heli\u00adcopter and then oper\u00adat\u00aded via remote con\u00adtrol.<\/p>

Advanced GPS sys\u00adtems such as the R10, total sta\u00adtions such as the SX10 or the mobile map\u00adping sys\u00adtem MX2 with the cor\u00adre\u00adspond\u00ading soft\u00adware sys\u00adtems com\u00adplete ILV\u2019s sur\u00advey\u00ading port\u00adfo\u00adlio.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
